KL Pudu is a treasure trove of local Chinese delicacies, many of which have stood the test of time. This district, steeped in history, is predominantly home to the Chinese community. Here, you’ll discover plenty of local favorites—not in trendy cafes or upscale restaurants, but in small, unassuming stalls that exude vintage Asian charm.
I’ve gathered some highly-rated spots based on reviews from various platforms. The following descriptions are drawn from the collective feedback, so you can make the most of your visit. Don’t forget to share this guide with your friends and family! That said, parking in the area can be a bit tricky. Most options are limited to roadside parking, but with a little patience (and luck), you might just find a great spot.

This restaurant is a long-standing establishment, renowned for its tender and juicy roast duck and roast goose. Every bite will leave you craving more! However, it’s worth keeping an eye on the prices before ordering, as you might be tempted to get more and more—your wallet might not be so happy, haha.
A half roast duck costs around RM100+, while a whole roast duck is approximately RM200+. As for the roast goose, a half portion is around RM170+, and a whole one is about RM330+.

Dan Ji Dumpling- Dumpling
This dumpling noodle dish comes with generous portions, and the dumplings are packed with flavorful ingredients! Priced at just RM11.50, it’s an incredible value for such a hearty meal. Want more noodles? You can top up for just RM1—definitely worth it! However, keep in mind that it can get quite warm in the afternoon as the shop doesn’t have air conditioning, so bringing a portable fan might be a good idea. Conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the LRT station, it’s an easy spot to visit for a satisfying meal!

KL Pudu Wai Sek Kai
There’s a hawker stall with a red banner called “辣辣炒粿条档口” that serves Salted Egg Char Kuey Teow—a dish loved by the locals! If you’re unsure which stall it is, just show the name to the people around, and they’ll guide you. Now, back to the star of the show: the Salted Egg Char Kuey Teow. The rich, sandy flavor of salted egg is unmistakable, and they’re generous with it too! You can taste the perfection in every bite, thanks to the auntie’s incredible cooking skills.
